(NEW ORLEANS, LA) – On Wednesday, December 2, 2015, Spirit Airlines announced new nonstop service from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) will begin April 14, 2016. This new daily flight will depart New Orleans at 7:30 a.m. and arrive in Atlanta at 9:57 a.m. Flights will depart Atlanta at 2:40 p.m. and arrive in New Orleans at 3:14 p.m. All times are local.

Spirit Airlines was founded in 1980 and is headquartered in Miramar, FL. They currently operate more than 375 daily flights to 56 destinations in the US, Latin America and the Caribbean. Spirit offers unbundled, ultra-low fares with a range of optional services for a fee allowing passengers to choose the perks they prefer. This new service to Atlanta will bring Spirit's total number of nonstop destinations from New Orleans to eight routes, including Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Ft. Lauderdale, Houston, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Flights and vacation packages are currently available for sale at www.spirit.com.
