The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (LANOIA) has begun issuance of "Airport Taxi Use Decals” to Taxicabs with valid CPNCs from the City of New Orleans, Kenner, Jefferson Parish and St. Charles Parish who meet the new requirements set forth by the City of New Orleans and the New Orleans Aviation Board as follows:

162-245 Law Enforcement to Check Applicant's Record

162-380 Criteria and regulation of inspection standards

162-611 Number of passengers per vehicle

162-613 Maximum Age of Taxicabs

162-657 Taximeter required; location

162-659 Credit/Debit Card Acceptance Machines

162-660 Security Systems

162-661 Global Positioning Systems (GPS)

2012 Airport Taxicab Rules (v4)(2012-07-19)

Decal Requirements: (Orleans Parish)

1. Submit completed "Airport Taxi Use Decal" application and provide copies of the following:

1. Vehicle registration
2. Valid Insurance certificate
3. CPNC Renewal
4. Vehicle Inspection report
5. Taxi Cab Permit
6. Driver’s License

2. Pay the non-refundable $200.00 Airport Taxi Use Decal fee and receive Decal

Decal Requirements: (Kenner, Jefferson Parish, St. Charles Parish)

1. Submit completed "Airport Taxi Use Decal" application and provide copies of the following:

1. Vehicle registration
2. Valid Insurance certificate
3. CPNC Renewal /Occupational Certificate
4. Vehicle Inspection report
5. Taxicab Permit
6. Driver’s License

2. Complete the Criminal Background Check and pay $50.00 non-refundable Background Check fee.

4. Upon completion of steps 1, 2 and 3 applicant will be asked to return at a later date to Allow time for processing of Criminal Background investigation and to have vehicle inspected.

5. Pay the non-refundable $200.00 Airport Taxi Use Decal fee and receive Decal

Note: Individual money orders will be required for payment of Criminal Background Investigation and Airport Taxi Use Decal fee.

 Applications may be obtained from the LANOIA Ground Transportation Department, City of Kenner Taxi Bureau, Jefferson Parish Taxi Bureau, St. Charles Parish Taxi Bureau.

 Fees:

 Airport Decal: $200.00 - Money Orders only please make payable to: NOAB

Criminal Background Investigation: $50.00 - Money Orders only please make payable to: NOAB

Vehicle Inspection fee: (paid to inspector) $50.00

Waiting Area 

All Taxis applying for the Airport Taxi Use Decal will be required to stage in the Cell Phone at the sign indicated until directed by the Cell Phone Lot attendant to proceed to the Transportation Center. The Cell Phone lot is located at the corner of Hollandey St. and Airline Dr.
