Security matters at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport are handled by a number of agencies. If you have an emergency while at the Airport, do not call 911. Please call (504) 303-7790. Declare your emergency and follow any instructions given by the Operator. You may also ask an airport employee for assistance.
Secure Flight Program
Effective November 1, 2010, the TSA has implemented its Secure Flight Program requiring airlines to collect a passengers full name before a boarding pass can be issued.

Screening
For matters or questions concerning screening at the Airport, please contact the Transportation Screening Administration. Their information can be viewed at
http://www.tsa.gov/. To contact the airport TSA office regarding Lost and Found items, e-mail
MSY-MSOC@dhs.gov.
Remember the screening checkpoints are the responsibility of the Transportation Security Administration. Please address all related questions or concerns to them via e-mail at
TSA-ConsumerResponse@tsa.dot.gov.
Only ticketed passengers are allowed beyond the screener checkpoints, except for those with specific medical or parental needs. Each traveler will be limited to one carry-on bag and one personal bag (i.e., purse or briefcase). All electronic items, such as laptops and cell phones, may be subjected to additional screening. Be prepared to remove your laptop from its travel case so that both can be X-rayed separately. Limit metal objects worn on person. Travelers should remove all metal objects prior to passing through the metal detectors in order to facilitate the screening process.
Parking
Due to heightened security at the Airport all vehicles entering the short term garage may be subject to search. Please visit our Transportation & Parking Section for parking garage rates and locations.
Lockers
Due to heightened security, the lockers are not available at any of the locations throughout the airport. THERE ARE NO LOCKERS AVAILABLE TO STORE YOUR ITEMS. You must keep all of your belongings with you at all times.
AT ALL TIMES:
- Control all bags and personal items.
- Do not bring anything on board for another person.
- Report any unattended items in the airport or aircraft.
