Air Service Continues to Grow at Armstrong International

Air service expansion is one of our top priorities at Armstrong International, and we are pleased to report that new flights will be arriving soon. One of our fastest growing carriers, Spirit Airlines, will begin daily service to Los Angeles, California and Atlanta, Georgia in April.  With the addition of these cities, Spirit will offer non-stop service to eight destinations. The other non-stop destinations include – Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Ft. Lauderdale, Houston and Las Vegas.  Spirit Airlines offers ultra-low fares and a range of optional services for a fee.  This allows passengers to choose the travel options they prefer, such as checking bags, seat assignments, and refreshments. Spirit currently operates more than 375 daily flights to 56 destinations within the U.S., Latin America, and the Caribbean onboard a modern and fuel-efficient all-Airbus fleet.  They operate from Concourse C at Armstrong International. Another one of our newest airlines is adding more service as well – Allegiant Air.  Allegiant will launch new flights to Pittsburgh, PA in February.  Service will be provided twice weekly out of Concourse C and expand upon the flights Allegiant currently operates from New Orleans to Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; Indianapolis, IN; and Orlando-Sanford, FL. The flights will bring nearly 17,000 additional visitors each year to the New Orleans area and generate an estimated $15.4 million annually in total visitor spending. Allegiant’s innovative business model has allowed it to grow from one plane and one route to offering access to low-cost flights in over 100 cities nationwide, more than any other domestic low-cost carrier. Allegiant passengers can enjoy unique savings by bundling their air, hotel, car and even activity and attraction reservations together for less. The company has been named one of America’s 100 Best Small Companies by Forbes Magazine for five consecutive years. In 2014, AVIATION WEEK ranked Allegiant the Top-Performing Airline in North America for the third consecutive year. Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found only at

Our newest air carrier, GLO, is offering non-stop flights to Little Rock, Arkansas; Memphis, Tennessee; and Shreveport, Louisiana. GLO is a New Orleans owned and based public charter operator and is offering fares as low as $99 each way through February.  GLO offers a quality alternative to business and leisure travelers that have been relegated to multi-stop flights and long drive times to reach these destinations. GLO’s flights are operated by Corporate Flight Management, Inc. from Concourse B using a 30-passenger Saab 340B aircraft. Each city is served twice daily Monday through Friday and once daily to each destination on weekends.  Tickets are available at
