Branson AirExpress Announces the Return of Service between Branson and New Orleans Operated by Buzz Airways

(New Orleans, LA) – Branson AirExpress operated by Buzz Airways has announced it will resume seasonal air service between Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) and Branson Airport (BKG) beginning in May 2016.

Branson Airport, established in 2009, is the first privately financed and operated commercial airport in the United States. Non-stop, discounted air service to New Orleans, LA will be offered four days per week, starting May 26, 2016. These flights will provide affordable, non-stop air service to and from the Ozark Mountain Region, located in the central Midwest, which was previously unavailable through other area airports.

Flights will take place on a 29-seat Jetstream 41 aircraft and will take approximately 2 hours in either direction. Seasonal discount tickets are available from May 26 through August 14, 2016 and can be purchased through BransonAirExpress.com.

"We are happy to see the return of nonstop service to Branson on Branson AirExpress,” said New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu. "This service generates more economic opportunity for our City and region."

"This is the second year that we’ve seen seasonal service from Branson AirExpress, and we are thrilled to see their return,” said New Orleans Aviation Board Chairwoman, Cheryl Teamer.

"We’ve seen considerable growth at our airport over the past year,” said New Orleans Councilman Jared Brossett, Chair of the Transportation and Aviation Committee. "We are happy to see our community support new routes, such as Branson, in order to sustain them.”

"Branson and New Orleans as destinations offer great tourism opportunity to its travelers and service from Branson AirExpress will enable that traffic flow through a nonstop flight,” said Iftikhar Ahmad, Director of Aviation for Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport.
