(New Orleans, LA) – Today, British Airways adds its fifth weekly flight from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) to London Heathrow (LHR). British Airways’ service to London began in March 2017 with four weekly flights. Due to the high demand for the service upon its launch, British Airways announced that it would be adding an additional frequency to its year-round service. The flight will now operate five times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

British Airways will continue operating its state-of-the-art Boeing 787-800 Dreamliner equipped with widescreen TVs, an entertainment system capable of connecting with customers’ devices, and an in-seat chat system for talking to family or friends on the flight, at each of its 214 seats. The Dreamliner’s LED mood lighting system helps passengers adjust to different time zones and the lower cabin air pressure helps reduce the effects of jet lag. The aircraft is divided into three cabins World Traveller (economy), World Traveller Plus (premium economy), and Club World (business) which features lie-flat seats. All passengers can enjoy complimentary meals, beverages, and a free checked bag.

Flights depart from London Heathrow at 3:40pm and arrive at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport at 7:40pm. Flights depart at 9:10pm from New Orleans arrive into London Heathrow’s Terminal 5 at 12:00 noon the next day.
