 View Document

With a selection of new amenities and air service options, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is making the travel experience more passenger-friendly than ever before. Travelers now have conveniences like lactation rooms and nutritious food choices available to them while traveling at Armstrong International. Also making the experience more efficient are new non-stop destinations and additional service to three cities from New Orleans. Of these new flights, two new cities were added to the Airport’s list of non-stop destinations, bringing the total to 56. The Airport is dedicated to providing passengers with a great trip through ease of accessibility to facilities and services that positively contribute to the passenger experience.

The newest amenity offered at Armstrong International is Mother’s Rooms. Mother’s Rooms provide a convenient, private space for the traveling mother to nurse or pump. The Airport recognizes that this is an important facility to provide and has identified rooms post-security on each concourse that serve as Mother’s Rooms. Each room hosts comfortable seating, an end table, a changing table, and appropriately placed electrical outlets. Once you are past security, you can follow the overhead signs or visit the facilities map on our website to find the location of the room on each concourse.

Another new addition can be found in our concessions. Nutritious eating while traveling through Armstrong International has never been easier since "Eat Fit NOLA” debuted on menus at four restaurants in the terminal. Through partnership with the Airport and Delaware North, the Airport’s master food and beverage concessionaire, "Eat Fit NOLA” menu items have been incorporated on the menu at Copeland’s, Dooky Chase’s, Ye Olde College Inn, and Zatarain’s. This program helps make the healthy choice, the easy choice when it comes to food. Look for the Ochsner Eat Fit seal on the menu at these restaurants for an entrée that is fewer than 600 calories, is low in sugar and sodium, and have no white, refined starches or trans fats.

When it comes to new air service, JetBlue, GLO, and Allegiant are all providing new options for travel with three new routes featuring two new destinations from New Orleans.

JetBlue Airways began daily non-stop flights to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on September 29th.  JetBlue is the third airline, joining Southwest Airlines and Spirit Airlines, to provide service to this destination. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is one of JetBlue’s hub airports where passengers can connect to numerous cities including several destinations in Central and South America and the Caribbean. JetBlue also offers service to Boston and New York’s JFK Airport from New Orleans.

This year JetBlue celebrates 15 years of fulfilling their mission of "bringing humanity back to air travel” with their dedicated service in New Orleans. They fulfill their mission by offering unlimited brand name snacks and soft drinks, entertainment at every seat, and the most legroom in coach (according to JetBlue). Travelers can visit www.JetBlue.com to book airfare and hotel accommodations all in one place at discounted prices with JetBlue Getaways.
