ORLEANS, LA) – The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport
is pleased to announce that low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines will add two (2)
new destinations from New Orleans. On August 1, 2014, Spirit Airlines
will begin a daily non-stop flight from New Orleans to Houston (IAH) and Ft.
Lauderdale (FLL) with their all-Airbus fleet. The flight to Ft. Lauderdale is
timed to allow for their many connections to Central America from that city.
The new daily flight to Houston will depart New Orleans at 10:12 a.m. The daily
flight to Ft. Lauderdale will depart New Orleans at 7:58 p.m.
Spirit Airlines was founded in 1980 (as Charter One) and is
headquartered in Miramar, FL. They operate scheduled flights throughout the
Americas as well as the Caribbean and Mexico and promotes a marketing theme of
