Winter Weather Updates

The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) continues to monitor the winter weather conditions and the impacts to the area.

Airlines at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport plan to resume operations in the afternoon on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025. Airlines will continue to evaluate if additional cancellations will occur on Thursday, Jan. 23 based on conditions in the local area as well as on the airfield. Passengers are advised to check directly with their airlines for the most up-to-date flight information and are advised not to come to the airport unless they have a confirmed departure.

In coordination with the City of New Orleans, snow plow crews cleared Airport roadways and airfield on Wednesday, Jan. 22. The terminal facility is operational, the terminal will be staffed appropriately as flight operations resume.

Passengers who made prepaid parking reservations at MSY and experienced weather-related flight cancellations can contact New South Parking by emailing [email protected] to request a refund. Please include your full name, email address and reservation number in the email.

Air Canada is expected to resume operations on Friday, Jan. 24.

Alaska Airlines plans to resume operations on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 2:30 p.m.

American Airlines plans to resume operations on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 12:45 p.m.

Avelo Airlines canceled flights on Thursday, Jan. 23.

Breeze Airways plans to resume operations on Thursday, Jan. 23 at  1 p.m.

British Airways is expected to resume operations on Friday, Jan. 24.

Delta Air Lines plans to resume operations on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 4 p.m.

Frontier Airlines plans to resume operations on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 2:25 p.m.

Jet Blue cancelled all flights on Thursday, Jan. 23.

Southwest Airlines plans to resume operations on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 2 p.m.

Spirit Airlines plans to resume operations on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 2 p.m.

United Airlines plans to resume operations on Thursday, Jan. 23 at 4 p.m.
