FASTER SHUTTLE TIMES ARE ON THE WAY 🚧 🚍💨

Construction of the Express Shuttle Connector Road is underway!

The project will be completed in two phases. Phase One of construction will be complete by the end of 2026 allowing shuttles to skip traffic lights on Veterans Boulevard. Phase Two will be completed by the end of 2027 and will include the southern portion near the former terminal and Airline Highway.

This dedicated roadway will cut shuttle times nearly in half when fully completed in 2027 from 14 to 18 minutes down to 7 to 10 minutes.

Any update on the elevators in the employee lot? Out of the 8 elevators, 1 works on a good day many times, none are operating. Flight crews pay to park there, reliable working elevators is all we ask for since we carry our luggage. This has been ongoing since the opening of the new terminal YEARS ago.

Crazy I know the shuttle time by heart. Passengers thought I was nuts one day when I was like “minimum 14 minutes” after someone said “10 minutes”. Good because the travel time was too long.

Phase 1 that bypasses Veterans seems essential. Phase 2, a new road paralleling the existing access road, just seems like a waste of money.

How do the economics of a shuttle/road capital expenditure + O&M compare to an automated tram system? You’d think that a tram would be a better long term investment.

$100M what a racket

Need up speed limit on arrivals side roads, either that or give tickets for over 15mph limit.

Great Idea, Go NOLA!

No shuttle would be needed if there was any thought into a master plan. Imagine if you had built the rental car facility at the site of the new terminal. There would have been an end date (when the new terminal opened) for shuttles instead of shuttles scheduled to go on forever.

Thank you

This Black History Month we are recognizing important Black New Orleanians that have shape our city.

Revius Ortique Jr. was a civil rights attorney turned judge known for many firsts. In 1979, he was the first black man elected to the Orleans Parish Civil District Court and the first black Justice elected to the Louisiana Supreme Court in 1992. He served as Chair of the New Orleans Aviation Board for eight years, and during his tenure, he was instrumental in strengthening opportunities for minorities at MSY. Additionally, he launched an $850 million rebuilding, renovation and expansion program and was instrumental in renaming the airport for jazz legend Louis Armstrong.

Dillard University graduate!

⚜️ When the name of the Honorable Revius Ortiques, Jr. appeared on the local and state news articles, the subject matter was important for all of Louisiana. Judge Ortique, Jr. was one of the New Orleans Orleans hallmarks of fame. ⚜️🙏⚜️

Black Excellence!

MET THE JUSTICE SEVERAL TIMES AWESOME MEMORIES...

Rest in peace 😇

The great one himself

Hear, Hear!! What a legend!

I had a class action lawsuit and it came before Judge Artigue. He taught me all I needed to know about class actions from his experience as a civil rights lawyer. He was the most outstanding juris I’ve ever known. In

Outstanding civil rights leader, jurist, and humanitarian!

Well done

Wow.....I'm a retired lawyer. Many moons ago, in my "rookie season," I had to get a temporary restraining order issued, and by luck of the law, I drew Judge Ortique (then a district court judge with the Civil District Court in New Orleans. He signed it. My very first time I appeared before a judge. I was in and out of his chambers (what they call a judge's office) in five minutes. He was gruff. All my stuff was in order. I know by how he handled those five minutes that if my stuff wasn't in order, he would have called it to my attention.

My Favorite Family Member 🥂❤️🙏🏽

A True Legend!!💪🏾💯💯

Thanks again for your service

Indeed

Awesome! 🎼👑🎶🎶

Congratulations

I wanna know what he done for the Black Community? Any Landmark decisions in his name? Change anything in the city that devils didn't approve of? Just for the sake of understanding what Black History really means!!! Because I'm sick of seeing these downtown 7th Ward Black Catholics paisan blanche m.fers, who ONLY down for their Massa & their own kind!!!

Happy Valentine’s Mardi Gras! See you at the parades. ... See MoreSee Less

It would be nice to have signs on the interstate letting you know that parking at the main airport is full. Get off at the economy parking exit so you do not go all the way to the main terminal to be told go to the old airport.

Another New Orleans welcome for Mardi Gras royalty -
👑 King Bacchus LVII Patrick Warburton!

He leads the @krewe.of.bacchus parade this Sunday. The parade will honor America’s 250th anniversary with custom floats and throws. Hail Bacchus!

This is how we welcome the 2026 Honorary Muse to New Orleans!

@soledadobrien was greeted by a brass band and members of the @kreweofmuses upon her arrival at #MSY! Ms. O’Brien will ride on the signature 17-foot-tall red high heel in tomorrow’s parade! 👠
