Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport

FIVE YEARS IN A ROW AS BEST AIRPORT IN NORTH AMERICA!

We have been recognized as the Best Airport at Departures in North America (5–15 million passengers) for the fifth year in a row by ACI World's 2025 Airport Service Quality program!

And because of this milestone, MSY is now being inducted into the prestigious ACI World Director General's Roll of Excellence — placing us among only 8 airports worldwide to receive this distinction.

This honor is a reflection of the incredible team that shows up every day to deliver the warmth and hospitality that New Orleans is known for around the world. As Aviation Director Kevin Dolliole puts it: "This recognition belongs to every person who works at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport."

To every traveler who took the time to share their feedback — thank you. You're the reason we keep raising the bar.

Yall didn’t have to tease us like that 😭 Congratulations but come on

lol. Departures. Yet every arrival sits on the tarmac for 20 minutes waiting on a gate.

Congratulación

Congratulations 🎈🎊🎉

Congrats

Great military lounge!

Well, I guess that's "big" to some.

Congrats!

That's it? 😂 I thought something exciting was coming.. 😂

Let’s not mention the rental car transport from hell

This is a joke right?

Yall should consider fixing the water bottle filler at the beginning of terminal B on the left. It’s been at a slow dribble for 2+ years.

They must not have considered the cluster it is to get an Uber/Lyft.

We need for them to fix the uber lyft pick up zone always a accident and certain drivers picking up in the wrong lanes and stopping on the cross walk pick up needs a major overhaul our passengers deserve better pick ups 😒 😤

I have no understanding how this can be. Very little parking and a nightmare when someone is bringing you or picking you up. No where to eat before TSA and no places to sit either. Way too much empty space and not accommodating when you're dropping people off.

The rest must be so bad

How about some pressure to get TSA paid immediately so we can keep processing all of those departing passengers.

Five years, and still no benches or chairs, or anything to sit on to meet people as they clear the secure side.

All that for.. this announcement?

Congrats!!! Now it’s time to fix those plumbing issues, modern water bottle refill stations, baggage claim/ vehicle pick up area (super congested), and get that parking project on the north terminal moving along.

5 years and the food still sucks.

FASTER SHUTTLE TIMES ARE ON THE WAY 🚧 🚍💨

Construction of the Express Shuttle Connector Road is underway!

The project will be completed in two phases. Phase One of construction will be complete by the end of 2026 allowing shuttles to skip traffic lights on Veterans Boulevard. Phase Two will be completed by the end of 2027 and will include the southern portion near the former terminal and Airline Highway.

This dedicated roadway will cut shuttle times nearly in half when fully completed in 2027 from 14 to 18 minutes down to 7 to 10 minutes.

Any update on the elevators in the employee lot? Out of the 8 elevators, 1 works on a good day many times, none are operating. Flight crews pay to park there, reliable working elevators is all we ask for since we carry our luggage. This has been ongoing since the opening of the new terminal YEARS ago.

How do the economics of a shuttle/road capital expenditure + O&M compare to an automated tram system? You’d think that a tram would be a better long term investment.

Crazy I know the shuttle time by heart. Passengers thought I was nuts one day when I was like “minimum 14 minutes” after someone said “10 minutes”. Good because the travel time was too long.

Phase 1 that bypasses Veterans seems essential. Phase 2, a new road paralleling the existing access road, just seems like a waste of money.

$100M what a racket

👏 👏 bravo MSY 👏 👏

That’ll sink too😁

Great Idea, Go NOLA!

No shuttle would be needed if there was any thought into a master plan. Imagine if you had built the rental car facility at the site of the new terminal. There would have been an end date (when the new terminal opened) for shuttles instead of shuttles scheduled to go on forever.

Finally!!!

Need up speed limit on arrivals side roads, either that or give tickets for over 15mph limit.

Thank you

This Black History Month we are recognizing important Black New Orleanians that have shape our city.

Revius Ortique Jr. was a civil rights attorney turned judge known for many firsts. In 1979, he was the first black man elected to the Orleans Parish Civil District Court and the first black Justice elected to the Louisiana Supreme Court in 1992. He served as Chair of the New Orleans Aviation Board for eight years, and during his tenure, he was instrumental in strengthening opportunities for minorities at MSY. Additionally, he launched an $850 million rebuilding, renovation and expansion program and was instrumental in renaming the airport for jazz legend Louis Armstrong.

Dillard University graduate!

⚜️ When the name of the Honorable Revius Ortiques, Jr. appeared on the local and state news articles, the subject matter was important for all of Louisiana. Judge Ortique, Jr. was one of the New Orleans Orleans hallmarks of fame. ⚜️🙏⚜️

Black Excellence!

MET THE JUSTICE SEVERAL TIMES AWESOME MEMORIES...

BLESS THE LORD 🙏🏿❤️GOD'S LOVE❤️🙏🏿

I met Judge Artique in 1980 at a National Legal Services Convention in Boston. He was a great lawyer who was willing to teach young lawyers.

Judge Ortique was a dear friend of my husband, Frank D’Amico Sr. His wife Miriam was always with him and she was also kind and fun to be with. Lovely people. 😊❤️

The great one himself

Hear, Hear!! What a legend!

I had a class action lawsuit and it came before Judge Artigue. He taught me all I needed to know about class actions from his experience as a civil rights lawyer. He was the most outstanding juris I’ve ever known. In

Outstanding civil rights leader, jurist, and humanitarian!

Well done

Rest in peace 😇

Wow.....I'm a retired lawyer. Many moons ago, in my "rookie season," I had to get a temporary restraining order issued, and by luck of the law, I drew Judge Ortique (then a district court judge with the Civil District Court in New Orleans. He signed it. My very first time I appeared before a judge. I was in and out of his chambers (what they call a judge's office) in five minutes. He was gruff. All my stuff was in order. I know by how he handled those five minutes that if my stuff wasn't in order, he would have called it to my attention.

My Favorite Family Member 🥂❤️🙏🏽

Blessings! All glory and honor to GOD.

Thanks again for your service

Thank you for sharing this history.

A True Legend!!💪🏾💯💯

Indeed

Awesome! 🎼👑🎶🎶

Congratulations

It would be nice to have signs on the interstate letting you know that parking at the main airport is full. Get off at the economy parking exit so you do not go all the way to the main terminal to be told go to the old airport.
