Park Assist
Park Assist is a new technology implemented in all parking garages that helps direct passengers to available parking spaces. Each row of parking has lights on the ceiling. A green light indicates at least one available space within the four spaces the light is above. A red light indicates that all four spaces are taken. This amenity reduces the time it takes to find parking and get to the terminal for a flight.
Electric Car Charging Stations
Dedicated parking spaces for electric car charging is available on the 1st floor of the Economy Garage and 1st and 2nd floors of the Long Term Garage.
Disabled Veteran Parking
State law provides disabled veterans certain parking benefits at Louisiana airports. Upon receiving concurrence from the FAA, the New Orleans Airport implemented a Disabled Veteran Parking Plan. To receive the free parking benefit, the Airport requires certain forms and documentation to be provided when exiting the Airport’s parking facilities. Please refer to the Disabled Veteran Parking Plan for the specific requirements.
Any veteran needing an LDVA F33 form, as described in the Disabled Veteran Parking Plan, can visit their local Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs Office (for locations visit www.vetaffairs.la.gov/locations). All veterans from outside of Louisiana are required to have a signed LDVA F33 form to receive the benefit.
