Louis Armstrong Airport to Hold a Master Plan Public Meeting

Seeking Input on Future Development Needs

NEW ORLEANS – Tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, the New Orleans Aviation Board (NOAB), which operates the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, will host a public meeting to get input from the community about future development as part of its Master Planning process. The meeting will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Susan Park Gymnasium, 502 Veterans Memorial Blvd, Kenner, LA 70062.

The New Orleans Aviation Board and its consultants are undergoing a Master Plan Update, which is a detailed study that looks at all parts of an airport and creates a concept for development over the next 20 years. It outlines specific growth phases based on passenger activity projections and helps determine the best strategy for building the infrastructure necessary to meet the Airport’s future needs.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) suggests airports update their master plans every 7 to 10 years to stay current, and once complete, this plan will provide the Airport with a roadmap to align with evolving aviation industry trends, enhance operational safety, and contribute to regional economic development.

Public participation is encouraged, and community members are invited to share comments and feedback during this stage of the planning process.
