NEW ORLEANS—The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) announced today that Deputy Director of Aviation Henrietta Brown was selected to serve as Chairperson of  American Association of Airport Executives’ (AAAE) Finance and Administration Committee for 2020-2021. AAAE represents 7,000 airport professionals across the world through advocacy and professional development opportunities, and as Chair of the Finance and Administration Committee, Brown will work to improve airport finance and administration management through interaction with other airport executives and partners in the aviation industry.

“Henrietta is an excellent leader and a valuable asset to our airport,” said Kevin Dolliole, Director of Aviation for MSY. “We are proud that she will take on this key role with AAAE nationally. With airports across the country facing major financial challenges due to the impact of COVID-19, it is quite significant to be chosen to help the industry navigate this crisis.”

As MSY’s Deputy Director of Finance and Business Management, Brown is responsible for the finance, accounting, concessions and other administrative divisions of the Airport. She participated on the bond transaction teams for the one of the new parking garages as well as two cost-savings bond refunding transactions. Brown has more than twenty years of finance and administration experience, with 11 of those years at mid-size airports in progressively responsible management roles.

Brown said, “I look forward to this new opportunity to work with my peers to support the finance and administrative functions of airports in the United States. I am grateful to AAAE for providing a platform for airport professionals to engage with each other, especially as we all respond to the work through new issues associated with the global pandemic.”
