New Orleans Airport Receives 3 Awards for Excellence in Concessions

NEW ORLEANS – The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) announced today that it received three 2023 Airport Experience Awards, which recognize excellence in airport concessions throughout North America. The awards were presented on Wednesday, March 1 at the 19th annual Airport Experience Conference.

MSY was recognized with the following awards:

• Airport with the Best Overall Concessions Program (Medium/Small Airports Division), which is awarded to a North American airport that excels in providing an array of options in its food, retail, and services program that satisfies the needs and tastes of various travelers.
• Airport with the Best Program Design (Medium/Small Airports Division), which is awarded to a North American airport that features an engaging and visually stunning environment that exceptionally blends flow and function, with a design that distinguishes it from all others.
• Best Local-Inspired Restaurant (Medium/Small Airport Division) for Emeril’s Table by HMSHost, which is awarded to a restaurant with a menu inspired by a notable chef and/or the tastes and cuisines of a region.

When MSY began operations in its new terminal facility in November 2019, it launched a completely revamped concessions program featuring a carefully curated sampling of national and local brands offering broad appeal at a wide range of price points. The layout of several of the concessions along the center of the concourse offers passengers an unobstructed view of the gates and airfield while they grab a bite to eat or visit the shops.
