Important Information for Employees Visiting the Badge Office
To help us serve you quickly and efficiently, please follow these guidelines when visiting the Badge Office:
- Check-In First: All employees must check in with the Greeter upon arrival.
- Have an Appointment?
- If your name is not on the appointment list, you’ll need to show your appointment confirmation to the Greeter.
- If your appointment cannot be confirmed by the Greeter, you will not be allowed to enter and will need to reschedule.
- No Appointment Needed For:
- Returning a badge
- Replacing a lost badge or key
- Getting help with a badge that isn’t working

Once the Greeter confirms your appointment and lets you proceed, please ring the doorbell at the Badge Office for service. - Badging Process:
There are two service stations inside the Badge Office. Each applicant is helped one at a time at either Station #1 or Station #2.

Public Badge
Required Training:
- Customer Service
- Human Trafficking Prevention at Airport
- Title VI & Non-Discrimination

- Identification Badge Permit Application
- Privacy Act Form
- 1 form of Government issued picture ID
Fees:
- $30.00 Initial Badging Fee (Money order or Company’s check)
Sterile Badge
Required Training:
- Customer Service
- Human Trafficking Prevention at Airport
- Title VI & Non-Discrimination
Forms:
- Identification Badge Permit Application
- Privacy Act Form
- Fingerprint Form
- 1 form of Government issued picture ID
Fees:
- $55.00 Fingerprint Fee (Money order or Company’s check)
SIDA Badge
Required Training:
- Customer Service
- Human Trafficking Prevention at Airport
- Title VI & Non-Discrimination
- Security (SIDA) Training (Full or Recurrent)
Forms:
- Identification Badge Permit Application
- Privacy Act Form
- Fingerprint Form
- 2 forms of unexpired, Government issued ID
Fees:
- $55.00 Fingerprint Fee (Money order or Company’s check)
- $35.00 Initial Fee (Contractor ONLY)

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an appointment to visit the Badge Office?
Yes. You must be on the appointment list or show confirmation to the Greeter upon arrival.
What if my name is not on the appointment list?
You’ll need to show proof of your appointment. If it can’t be confirmed, you’ll have to reschedule.
What happens if I arrive late to my appointment?
Late arrivals may not be accommodated. Contact the office if you’re running late or reschedule.
Do I need to check in when I arrive at the Badge Office?
Yes. All employees must check in with the Greeter.
What do I do once my appointment is confirmed?
Ring the doorbell at the Badge Office to receive service.
Are there services that don’t require an appointment?
Yes, no appointment is needed for:
- Returning a badge
- Replacing a lost badge or key
- Badge troubleshooting
Can I bring someone with me to the Badge Office?
Only the person receiving service is allowed, unless assistance is required.
How many badging stations are there?
There are two badging stations (Station #1 and Station #2). One applicant is served at a time
What should I bring to my appointment?
For Fingerprinting:
- Fully completed forms (signed in the presence of your Authorized Signatory)
- Two forms of ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport, Social Security card)
- Money order or company check, if applicable
For Renewal:
- Current badge
- Updated forms of ID
- Money order or company check, if applicable
What do I need to renew an expired badge?
You’ll need an expired badge form signed by your Authorized Signatory and the late renewal fee.
How soon can I renew my badge?
You can renew up to 30 days before your badge expires
Can someone else pick up my badge?
Only Authorized Signatories may pick up badges on behalf of employees.
Can I use cash or a debit/credit card to pay badging fees?
No, the Badging Office only accepts money orders, cashier/certified bank checks, and company checks payable to the New Orleans Aviation Board.
Can badging applications and forms be emailed?
No. All forms must be signed in wet ink—copied or digital signatures are not accepted.

What device do I need for online training?
Online training can be completed on all devices using the Google Chrome browser.
Can I use LA Wallet as ID?
Does the Badging Office validate parking tickets?
No. All individuals parked in the Economy Garage must pay to exit.

Contact your Authorized Sponsor or Schedule an appointment by clicking here.
