New Orleans Airport Announces Artists Selected for Music @ MSY Residency Program

NEW ORLEANS –The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY), in partnership with the City of New Orleans Mayor’s Office of Cultural Economy(OCE), has selected six local musical acts to perform weekly at the airport as part of the Music @ MSY residency program. These artists will entertain travelers at the Jazz Garden Stage located in the arrivals area of the terminal, starting Sept. 9 through Dec. 8.

The acts for the fall 2024 Music @ MSY residency are:

• April Spain
• J Riley Cain
• Maxwell Arceneaux
• Mykia Jovan
• Terrence and The Fortress
• Whitney Mixon

Each performer will present a 2-hour set once a week, with a total of six performances scheduled each week. The schedule of upcoming performances can be found here: stagehand.app/venues/167/events. 

The artists were selected after MSY and OCE issued a call for musicians in May inviting local talent to apply for this opportunity. A selection committee including representatives from the Airport, OCE, and the local music community reviewed the applications and recommended the six acts for the residency.
