Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport’s Music Program
Wins National Award for Best Customer Experience
NEW ORLEANS –The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) received national recognition for Best Customer Experience Programs among Medium Airports for its Music @ MSY Residency Program at the Airports Council International- North America (ACI-NA) 2025 Excellence in Airport Marketing, Communications, and Customer Experience Awards.
Through the Music @ MSY Residency Program, the Airport, in partnership with music community representatives, selects a rotating lineup of local musical acts to perform on peak travel days on stages throughout the terminal. Each act is performed at least once each week for 3 months. During the award evaluation period, 22 acts featuring 40 musicians held 447 live performances totaling 899 hours of entertainment.
“Our goal has always been to create a travel experience that feels unmistakably New Orleans, and our musician residency program does exactly that,” said Kevin Dolliole, Director of Aviation for MSY. “This award from ACI-NA highlights the dedication of our performers, staff, and partners who carefully curate the live entertainment travelers enjoy. Whether it’s jazz, blues, or the rhythms unique to this region, our musicians turn the Airport into a cultural experience. We’re honored to be recognized and deeply grateful to the local artists who help us welcome the world to our city.”
The program supports the Airport’s customer experience goals by celebrating New Orleans culture, creating economic opportunities for local musicians, and bringing memorable live music experiences to millions of passengers each year.
“The recipients of these awards demonstrate unparalleled customer experience and community engagement through their extensive marketing and communications efforts,” said ACI-NA President and CEO Kevin M. Burke.
MSY was also selected as a finalist in the Excellence in Airport Marketing, Communications, and Customer Experience award, branding category, for its new brand launched in 2025, featuring a new “Plane De Lis” logo, color palette, and typography.
Since its formation in 1990, ACI-NA’s Excellence in Airport Marketing, Communications, and Customer Experience Awards have recognized the quality of work, abundance of talent, and creativity within the airport industry’s marketing, communications, and customer experience fields.
