Filming Advisory: Red Bull Terminal Takeover skating film production to take place at former New Orleans Airport Terminal

Private filming to feature low flying aerobatic plane

NEW ORLEANS – Today, Thursday, April 14 through Saturday, April 16, Red Bull will conduct a film production at the former terminal facility at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY). As part of the production, Red Bull has transformed parts of the former terminal into a custom-built skate park, and crews will produce videos of various local and national skate teams using the facility.

Additionally, on Thursday, April 14 between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., part of the production will include a low flying aerobatic plane with colored smoke operating near the southwest side of the MSY airfield. As a result, certain parts of Kenner and the surrounding areas may experience an increase in aircraft noise. This flyover was planned in coordination with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and other stakeholders, and it will not impact any airline operations or flight schedules.

This film production is closed to the public, and law enforcement will be present to ensure safety and to help facilitate filming.
